Northwest ZIPcode 92008

Downtown “Village,” the Barrio, and “Old Carlsbad.” Home to Hosp Grove Park, Buena Vista and Agua Hedionda Lagoons. Homes in the area are a mix of 1950’s cottages to hilltop ocean view mansions.



Northeast ZIPcode 92010

Consists mostly of single-family homes, with larger lots found in the older area known as Chestnut Hills and the new developments around Calavera Hills.



Southeast ZIPcode 92009

South of Palomar Airport Road features several newer expensive master-planned communities set among hillsides, golf courses, Alga Norte Community Park and permanent open spaces. It includes Bressi Ranch and the La Costa neighborhoods of Rancho La Costa, La Costa Ridge, La Costa Oaks, La Costa Greens. This neighborhood extends along the Pacific Ocean to the south of the center of Carlsbad. It includes the Aviara neighborhood and hosts another luxury golf resort Aviara Golf Club and Resort. For the outdoor adventurer coastal tent/RV camping is available at South Carlsbad State Park.
